Structure in the morning. Community at night.
Recovery housing works when the days have a shape. Here's the shape.

Same rhythm, every day.
Morning
Up, chores done, breakfast in a real kitchen. If you're working, you're out the door; if not, four hours with peer support on recovery and job readiness.
Midday
Outpatient treatment at least three days a week. Job search or work the other days, on a schedule staff approved.
Evening
Your daily AA/NA or approved recovery meeting. Dinner. Home by 8 PM, every night.
Once a week
The house meeting: announcements, concerns, problem-solving, and recovery wins called out by name.
A network, not just a house.
Vera's Place is part of the Resource Advocacy Network, which also operates Redefine Support, a certified peer support program in downtown Pittsburgh. Residents work with peer support every day: four hours a day while looking for work, one hour a day once employed. The people helping you have been where you are.
Consistency gets noticed.
Points for meeting attendance, outpatient participation, chores, employment progress, and milestones at 30, 60, 90 days and beyond. Redeem them for privileges and recognition, including Resident of the Month. Points never override house rules; they exist to make doing the work visible.
What we ask of you.
Show up sober. Do your chores. Be home by eight. Go to your meeting and your outpatient. Treat staff and housemates with respect, keep your visitors in the common areas, and save a fifth of every paycheck so you leave here with a deposit for your own place. If you slip, tell us; a relapse gets you an assessment and a plan, not automatically the door.
